Yogyakarta Field Trip

SMPK 1 BPK Penabur Bandung 8 graders went to Yogyakarta last time on October 5th for three days. We went there by bus from night to morning. Each class should be in one bus, but my class was divided into 3 because the students were only 25 (less than the others). 

Day 1

We arrived at Candi Borobudur and had our breakfast there. In Candi Boribudur, each class was guide by our home teacher and guide tour. My class was at front, we took a lot of photos there. However, I couldn't post all the posts for privacy. 

After that, we went to Taman Pintar. Taman Pintar was a place where most students' field trip went, in order to get knowledge. Most things that we got is abot science. Actually, Taman Pintar is similar to Science Center but not complete as Science Center in other countries (sorry for the bad comments).

At last, we went to eatch Ramayana, a drama with traditional dances. It was really an interesting drama. There was a performance of a man playing with fire, and that was my favorite part. I thought most of us like that part. Well, this was the end of the first day.

Day2

I woke up and ready to go to the beach. From my hotel, it was about 2 hours to reach the beach. In the bus, I played games with my friends in order not to get bored. 

As we reach the beach, most of us ran directly to the water. However, I didn't go to the water since I hate fish (maybe I am scare of fish... I dont know why). We took many photos and some videos there. We also covered our friend with sand. It was really fun. Then we went back to the hotel and have a rest.

In the evening, we went to Malioboro. Malioboro is a place where can we find many shops also malls. We spent two hours in Malioboro, but my friends and I stayed in Dunkin Donut  for about thirty minutes, since most of us hate shopping.

Day 3

Finally, we went to Karaton, where the royal family lived. The place was so hot, but we didnt spend much time there. At karaton, we should pay if we want to take photos. So, we didn't take photos. So, this was the last day. Overall, we had so much fun and made many memories.

SMPK1 BPK Penabur Bandung Open House 2015

Our school had open house on August 28th and 29th, 2015. Open house is a school festival to invite other students especially who is looking for their secondary school. It was really fun to see and talk with new people there. In my school, each class must make a game in order to attract the visitors more. My class worked together with 8E, we made a haunted labyrinth and we called it Phasmophobia.

Our leader of this activity is Aurel. He had a lot of ideas for the labyrinth. However, our teachers was mad when they heard the cost of the labyrinth will be so high. So, we used unused things to make the labyrinth. We made the labyrinth in a day.

On August 28th, we came to school at 7 o'clock in the morning and prepare our self. Some of us clean the class and other make up their friends. Most of the girl hepled on make up and the boys clean the class. I was in charge of the make up. We make up our friends become like a ghost. Well, I did think that it wasn't look like a ghost. I thought it was funny and not scary at all. Also, the atmosphere of the class wasn't scary too. It was too hot in the class since there were a lot of people inside.

In the afternoon, I had a rest for our lunch. In the free time, I looked our Dual Certificate Program stand. It was small but we could see our works in 2015 there. There was also a powerpoint that my friends' made for science quiz. As my break time finished, I went to my class again and be a ghost to scare  the visitors. In this activities, of course our class got money.

The next day, we came at 7 o'clock again and prepared ourself again. My friend cleaned the air conditioner in order to make the class cooler. However, it wasn't really affect the temperature. I could say it was pretty boring on the second day since it was the same with the first day. Only became a ghost and scared the visitors all day in the class. You can't imagine how bored I am at that time.

As soon as it finished, we cleaned our room and threw the trash. I went home at 2 o'clock. The school festival had ended and I felt so tired.

Lebaran 2015 - School Holiday

Last holiday I went to Bali with my family. I went to Bali during lebaran because my elder sister who studied abroad really missed her country. We had made a list of the place where we would visited in Bali. Most of the place were attractions like parasailing and rafting.

On the first day, we arrived at the airport in Denpasar at 4 o'clock after our flight was being delayed for two hours. I had my late lunch immediately after reaching. Then we went to Adi Dharma Hotel to take our rooms that we had booked. The hotel wasn't too far from the airport so we could rest immediately. At 7 o'clock we went to Maede Restaurant. We were pretty enjoy the foods there. However, some of the foods were too spicy for me and I drank two bottles of water. We had rest after we had dinner in the hotel.

 The next day we woke up in the morning and got ready for rafting. We went there by a car. It took pretty long from the hotel to that area. My sister and I slept on the way there while my mom and dad remained awake.We arrived at the rafting area at 9 o'clock in the morning. They said that the rafting would took 2 hours. My mom wasn't interest to join the rafting so she chose to go alone for spa while my father, sister and I did the rafting. Two hours later, I met my mom again after the rafting. We had lunch at Ibu Oka. We rest at our hotel and plan to have dinner in Bistro. After resting, we dined a Bistro restaurant. The restaurant was pretty interesting inside. There many vintage thing inside the restaurant so the visitors could take photos. We rest again and slept in the hotel.

The third day we went to the beach. I played parasailing for the first time there. At first I wanted to play banana boat and flying fish, However, they said I couldn't play that because I didn't have a partner to play with since my family didn't want to get wet. So I only played parasailing. The best memory there was the coconut for me , but it was pretty boring for me. I also felt disappoint because I only came to that beach for parasailing and that coconut.   I went to Discovery mall with my family. The mall was placed near  the beach. Finally my sister played with water at that beach. We played for 15 minutes then we came inside the mall and joined my mom for shopping. My father was trying a temporary tattoo at the beach. The tattoo that he chose was a dragon. It was pretty fast that we only wait for 10 minutes since the person need to draw first.

The fourth day we went to bazaar. We went around inside the bazaar and looked for souvenirs. At the end, I didn't buy anything there. My father bought many things for his restaurant in Bandung and my sister bought gifts for her friends. At night we went to wine factory since my father was invited by the owner. We also had dinner in the wine factory with the owner. The owner gave a long presentation and we really enjoyed it. I saw that her wines had won a gold medal, double gold medal and two bronze medal. My parents said that the moscato was really good. Since I was under age, I couldn't try any drinks there except mineral water.

Actually the fifth day was the last day if the airport wasn't close. However, because of the mountain was active, I couldn't go home. So, we had to spend one night in Bali. Our tickets were canceled and change the day to the next day. We looked for a hotel again. Since my sister and I interested with Fashion Hotel in Bali, we spent the last night there. The hotel was really interesting. There were real model inside the hotel. They were really tall. I could guess that they were about 180cm. The hotel was really comfortable and antique. Most of the things in the hotel were in diamond shape. However, at night we couldn't sleep well because of the bar. The music was really noisy especially my room was the nearest to the bar. 

At last, the day that I had been waiting for has come. I was really miss my hometown. I thought that my holiday was boring, that's why I wanted to go home. Overall, this holiday wasn't the best holiday. Maybe if I went to Bali again I could play at the beach more especially the attraction that I missed. Next time I must try banana boat and flying fish.

SMPK 1 study tour to Yogya

SMPK 1 Study Tour To Yogyakarta  15-18 October 2014

8 grade

On Wednesday, we went from Bandung by bus at 6pm and we got there 5am on Thursday. The bus wasn't comfortable especially my class , 8a , was spread out into 3 bus because in DCP class there were only 23 students.

First day in Yogyakarta , we went to Candi Borobudur. we explored and there was a person who guide us and told us the story of Candi Borobudur. It was very interesting and make us really surprise. How come the past people could make something like that just by their own hands, without any modern tools. After we went there, we went to our hotel. The hotel was 4 stars hotel, the name is Saphire hotel. Lucky me , I got the biggest room. The hall was very scary like haunted. We got ready for ourself because we would go to Malioboro. 2 hours in the hotel, we had a shower and had some chats with my roommates. Each room there were 4 people with same genre. 

In Malioboro , we went to Mentari which was place in the right side, it was big and have many things. It was the cheapest shop in Malioboro. We keep our bag in front our us, because we scared to be stolen. In the Mentari shop there are so many batik. However , after we finished shopping, we went to J.C.O. because there isn't starbuck there in Malioboro. 

Second day, I went to Indrayati Beach. It was so long from the hotel to the beach. However, after I arrived there. The beach is so beautiful , I really love the coconuts, it was sweat and fresh. The sea was really clear to see but no one dare to swim because the sea was really danger. It was really big the waves. After we done played there, we went to the hotel again then went to Sendratari Ramayana.  We watched it about 1 hour. After the drama had done, we could take some photos with them on the stages. 

Third day, we went home. We arrived at Bandung at 12 o'clock at night. We were all sleepy and need so many rest. It was really make us tired. The foods that were given were all goods and not spicy. It was really fun go out with my friends and sleep together.

It's Summer !!! Canada !

It’s Summer

I visited my family who live in Canada in June which they were having summer. I just only had one month to meet my sister, brothers ,uncle and also auntie. They were all Canadian now but I’m still Indonesian. I just ave to wait until I getmy O-level certificate so I can go and live there together.

Well, because in Indonesia it is always 23-28degrees celsius , I felt like in a freezer there. Even it was Summer , it is 15-20 degrees celsius. It is rare to see rain in Canada and  the day is more longer than the night. I just remember that my house is in Calgary which mean it is cold. What I mean is cold because Calgary is colder than Otawa and Toronto also other places. However , it’s not the coldest city in Canada. When I went to the downtown, it was super cold because the wind is so big and my auntie said it always like that in downtown.

Well, that’s all about my future country. Ovderall, the point is cold. Maybe I will tell you more about my holiday not about the temperature there .

School Problem

I think why we must go to school. It is what are teens thinking when they must go to school. I am teenager and I hate it too, too many homework and test! Whuaaa!!! It makes me angry. Teacher are bad! They always angry angry and angry . of course there are reasons but sometimes they angry without any reasons. Maybe my friends understand what I’m thing about is. I think my teacher if read this blog, the might be angry to me . They felt they personality have been share by me already. I don’t know if what I wrote in this post are wrong but I believe there are wrong but I believe what I’m talking are honest.

          

I know my english is bad but I just want to share my feeling in school now. I hope you are all understand and also don’t get angry for the teachers who read my post. Sorry if I was wrong teachers.... I just want you to be kind to the students.

Number The Stars by Lois Lowry

 At first, I hate this novel , Number The Star which made by Lois Lowry . However, after I read three chapters of it , the story becomes exiting and makes me want to know more about it so let me tell you the big point of this story.

In 1943, lived a girl named Annemarie from Johansen family who lived in Copenhagen, Denmark . They helped Annemarie's best friend , Ellen from Rosen family who was jew also helped other jewish friends from the NAZI. Johansen family helped them whatever how dangerous it is. In the end  Johansen could helped all the jew without being caught by NAZI. All the jew escaped by boat to Sweden and they are all safe.

This book is amazing ! However , in the beginning it was boring but when I read more, the story become interesting because of one reason , it was telling me about how they lied to the NAZI so they could escaped.They teach me to be brave . I can learn from what Johansen family did, they help their friends sincerely. They did it for their friends with all they have and brave. I also like it because Annemarie and Ellen are really best friends forever, even they didn't talk with each other anymore , Annemarie still respect Ellen so we must do like them also. We have to be friends anytime and anywhere we are. We must respect our friends even our enemies sincerely. I compared to my own life, I don't really respect my friends very much , I also don't help my friends sincerely . I must change!

         

I'm telling you to read this book! I believe who read this book will love it very much . Maybe , all teenager like me must read it to know the past also learn it and do it in our life! There are many moral lesson from this story that kids and teenager must learn. If I'm rate this book , it is five stars.
